Excellence in Christ-Centered Education
Lutheran Unity School Association of Chicago is a distinctive, innovative, and
technological educational environment that provides an exceptional Christian education for students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Two campuses supported by four Lutheran congregations
serve the northwest side of Chicago. Each congregation, Jehovah El Buen Pastor, Messiah, Our
Saviour and St. Paul Lutheran Church, Canfield, has a long history of providing quality Christian education.
The Lutheran Unity East Campus is located in the Logan Square neighborhood and the
Lutheran Unity West Campus is in the Norwood Park neighborhood. Activities between campuses help bring the students together in a spirit of collaboration. Lutheran Unity is proud to continue the
mission of Lutheran education in Chicago through our East and West campuses. Se Habla Español at the Lutheran Unity East Campus.
At Lutheran Unity School, we are focused on
FAITH, FAMILY and FUTURE.
A caring, dedicated faculty joyfully teaches the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our faith in Jesus allows us to work hard and provide a
Christ-centered education that truly makes a difference in our students’ lives. His love propels us to be thankful for the gifts He gives us and to treat one another with love and
One big difference between Lutheran Unity and other schools is our emphasis on being a
family of learners. Faculty and staff are a family and the students and parents of Lutheran Unity are a vital part of our family. We grow together spiritually by regular religion classes and weekly
chapel – to which parents are invited to attend – as well as through classroom and fun sports and extracurricular activities, including Basketball, Track and
Field, Volleyball, Community Night, Family Reading Night, Science Olympics, and much more.
Lutheran Unity also has many field trips to engage students, including trips to
Brookfield Zoo, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, WalCamp (outdoor education), as well as special trips to Springfield, Illinois, and Washington,
D.C., for 7th and 8th graders.
As a family of learners, students are challenged spiritually, academically and
physically to reach their God-given potential. At Lutheran Unity, we strive to positively impact our students, parents and surrounding community, by being a beacon of help and hope. Our
graduates go on to attend top area and select enrollment high schools. We have thousands of successful alumni in Chicago and around the country who are proud to have gotten their start at Lutheran
